Natasha Kolas is an experienced Mental Health Accredited Social Worker, providing specialist Trauma Informed therapeutic counselling for young people and adults. 

Natasha is known for her calm and gentle approach and in-depth knowledge of treating Developmental and Complex Trauma.

Natasha works from a Trauma Informed, Holistic approach and addresses the interplay between the mind and body in recovery.

Natasha has completed a Bachelor of Social Work and an Associate Diploma in Social Science Child Studies.

Natasha is a EMDR Institute (Level 2) trained - Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing therapist.

Natasha has 10 years experience working with Northern NSW Local Health District, Integrated Prevention and Response to Violence, Abuse and Neglect Services – Richmond and Clarence Sexual Assault Service providing crisis response, therapeutic counselling and court support to children, young people and adults who have experienced interpersonal violence.

Natasha trained as an Animal Assisted Therapist, previously certified by Therapy Dogs Australia.

Natasha has facilitated group work for adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse, worked at Central Coast NSW Health – Perinatal care team with vulnerable families. As well as had many years experience working in the NGO sector including respite care services for children in out of home care and women’s refuges. 

Natasha has worked in her private practice in Bangalow NSW since 2022.

Anyone who has experienced a violent crime, abuse or assault as a child or adult in NSW (Police report not required) is eligible for an initial 22 hours of fully funded/no cost counselling hours.
